Raising a Multilingual Child

Posted March 21, 2018March 23, 2018 CherylLeave a commentPosted in Parenting, Play / Child Developement

How did we raise a multilingual child? From the moment our daughter was born she heard exclusively Hungarian from her father, and English from her mother – each speaking in their own birth tongue. This is called the “one person, one language” approach, though we didn’t know this method had an official terminology at the […]

Stay at Home Dads: Why dad may be better than mom at home

Is there a need for stay at home dads? The reality is, child care can become costly if you are outsourcing the work, however if one parent can/must stay at home, it is likely that this role is filled by mom. But what about a stay at home dad? Is it possible that a stay […]

About Dads in the House

Dads spending time with children

We all know that motherhood is a beautiful gift. It is also hard, scary, and a plethora of other things. Parenting is traditionally the responsibility of the mother. I feel that fathers should become more active in taking care of their children. I believe in parenting diversity and that jobs or toys should not be gender specific. I also believe in promoting kindness to make this planet a better place.

I’m Ray, better known as Remy’s Dad. I’m a stay-at-home/ work-at-home dad, along with a list of other things: I cook (professionally and personally), I clean, I travel, I research, and I organize a local dads group. To keep up with my many roles, I am fueled by organic coffee. I am also passionate about bringing you helpful parenting information that helps busy moms and dads navigate the parenting struggles of everyday life.
